Organization: Nail Polish

HELLO!

Today I thought I would share how I organize my nail polishes, since I do have a lot and I don't have the space to have those huge nail polish racks, and it's an easy way to choose which nail polishes you, or your friends, want to use right away! :)

What I first did is I wrote down a list of all the nail polishes that I had, separating them by category, for example top coats, crackle, nail art, and I separated the colors in pinks, reds, greens, etc.

Here is my list, I also numbered them so I know how many I have and it is easier to organize them later. I decided to actually write it down by hand, but you can type it down and keep it in your computer or print it out, so you can do the swatches on the side like I did.

What I then did is I grabbed a plastic box, which is about the same size as a shoe box, and I put the polishes in the box trying my best to somehow keep the order that they are on the paper. After I filled one box, I marked down from which number it started and ended, and just labeled the box, I then filled up the other box and did the same as the first one.

How about you, are you a nail polish addict like I am?

Yay or Nay: Gladiator Sandals

HELLO!

Gladiator sandals! One of my favorite trends that I got first introduced to around 2009 (I think, all I remember is I was still living in Brazil!), and now the trend has definitely made a comeback. You can find the sandals everywhere at the moment, whether it is from high-end designers or at your local Target, they are EVERYWHERE!

I personally love the trend because it is so versatile, you can wear sandals that go all the way up to your knee like this gorgeous Stuart Weitzman one, or this Charlotte Russe one:

Left: The Gladiator Sandal by Stuart Wietzman in Black Nappa ($425) Left: Qupid Laceup from Charlotte Russe ($39.99)

You can also wear the shorter ones, but still rock the trend. Whether you'd prefer an edgier sandal like the one from Topshop, or something a bit more delicate like the one by Rebecca Minkoff, it is up to you! :)

Left: Filey Strap Sandals from Topshop ($60) Right: Georgina Sandal in Black by Rebecca Minkoff ($125)
There are also the bulkier sandals, which are my favorites when it comes to gladiators! XD
You can rock a "Hercules" one from Target or a more modern approach from Dr. Martens.

Left: Claudia Gladiator Sandal from Target in Black ($29.99) Right: Clarissa in black leather from Dr. Martens ($109.95)

My favorite brand when it comes to most trendy shoes is Jeffrey Campbell, because I like shoes that are very different and unique. And the brand has some beautiful gladiators, but the thing that stood to me the most was the fact that they make some of them in the option of a high-heel or flat.

Top (left to right): Bellona Leather Knee-High Sandal by Jeffrey Campbell ($290), Isolde Leather Knee-High Sandal by Jeffrey Campbell ($285)
Bottom: Advent Leather Lace-up Heel by Jeffrey Campbell($245), Valeria Suede Lace-up Sandal($195)

PS: The Jeffrey Campbell sandals at the top, can detach a part of it so the sandal can become a shorter gladiator.

As you can probably already tell, gladiators are definitely a YAY for me! What about you? I would love to know your opinion on the trend!

What trend of shoes have you fallen in love with?

Makeup Monday: Skincare Routine

HELLO!

First of all, sorry for being gone for so long! :(

Today I thought I'd my skin care routine, which is very simple because I am not that into skin care, I just take care of ma face enough so that the makeup doesn't look bad. :P

To remove my makeup, I use the Yes to Blueberries cleansing facial wipes, and they kind of moisturize my face, but I then apply the Clean&Clear dual action moisturizer, which is great to prevent breakouts and to moisturize! :)

When I'm in the shower, I use the Yes to Blueberries Daily Cleaser, which makes my face smooth as
a baby's butt! XD And then comes the exfoliating, which is something needed. I first exfoliate my whole face, gently, with the Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrup, and then, to get rid of my black heads on my nose (yikes!), I use the St. Ives Green Tea Scrub, which is specifically for clearing black heads. All of this shower routine, I don't do every single day, I usually do it 2 times a week.

What is your skincare routine?

Nails of the Week: Royal White

HELLO!

This week I was thinking of doing my nails with white nail polish, but I didn't want just the white polish, I wanted something different, then I thought of one of my favorite trendy color combiantions: white and blue! :D

So here are my nails:

Here is what I used:

The white polish is one that I got from a kit last year, and it doesn't really have a name. The blue glitter is Essie's Lots of Lux, and I used my Colorama top coat since I thought that glitter looked a bit too rough.

The Essie glitter surprised how opaque it was, it was very packed with glitter and one coat was more than enough!

What are your nails of the week?

Yay or Nay: Khaki

HELLO!

One of the trends this summer has been the color khaki, which one of my favorite colors (usually for fall) is included in: Army green, which I did not know it was considered khaki. At first I thought that it was a bit odd to have khaki as a summer color, even though I am very happy to know that I am being trendy with my army greens, so I thought I would include it in a Yay or Nay to see your opinion about the color during summer!

Here are a couple of pieces I found only that incorporated the trend:

Top row: Topshop sandals, skirt, and pants
Bottom row: Zara skirt, top, and sandals

I am in love with that skirt from Zara, I might buy it! XD
PS: All of the things from Zara are on sale right now, so rush there! :)

Overall, I think that the trend in a Yay, but I have to say that I would not wear the lighter tones, since it would look too much like my skin.

What about you? Do you think this is a yay or nay? Tell me in the comments below!
If you have any other suggestions for this series, make sure to tell me in the comments as well!
