What's in My Bag: NYC Edition

HELLO!

If you follow me on instagram, you may know that I went to NYC yesterday. Because I am super tired today, and my brain has given up one me, I thought I would do a quick post on what I brought to NYC in my bag! :)

My bag is the same backpack that I did the post on how I style a backpack, and I brought this one because I would be caring my DSLR and it was easier to carry a big camera this way.

So, I had my wallet (Target), my keys, and my iPhone (case from Target). I also brought my makeup/emergency bag, in it I have a nail polish, which Sally Hensen's Blue Me Away (because I painted my nails on the drive to the ferry), some Advil, mints, contact lenses solution, band-aids, my MAC concealer, the mascara I was wearing (Maybelline's Mega Plush), my ELF translucent powder, my NYX lipstick in XOXO, and a hair clip. I also brought my DSLR with me, but couldn't put it in the shot, since I was taking the picture with it!

What's in my clutch

Today I will share with you what I usually bring in my clutch, since I've been using it quite a lot.

It is pretty minimal. I bring my phone, id, credit card, money, a lipstick (right now I have Topshop Legend) and some band-aids, since you never know when you might hurt your feet.

And my clutch is from Zara! :)

Today has been a bit of a busy day and I couldn't come up with a good blog post idea, instead I am going to do the 40 beauty questions tag.

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?

I wash my face twice a day, right when I wake up and before going to bed.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)

My skin is combination.

-What is your current facial wash?

I have never used a face wash! :s

-Do you exfoliate?

Yes, once every two weeks.

-What brand do you use?

For my nose, I use those strips that you damp into water and they stick to your nose and my body exfoliant is one that my aunt makes. :)

-What moisturizer do you use?

I use the CleanScene: Begging for Balance

-Do you have freckles?

Nope!

-Do you use eye cream?

Nope!

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

Nope!

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

Nope!

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?

Chanel VitaLumiere Aqua or Mac Tinted Moisturizer

-How about concealer?

Currently I am using Rimmel London's Hide The Blemish Concealer, but no very happy with it! I would love some recommendations.

-Do you know your undertone color?

Yellow-ish?

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I like them, but for me only in special occasion (too much work to put them on!)

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?

Nope!

-What brand of mascara do you use?

For the moment Too Faced!

-Sephora or MAC?

Sephora, since there are more brands in there!

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

Nope!

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

Brushes mostly!

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

YES! Too Faces eyeshadow insurance!

-For the face?

Sometimes I use the Too Faced Primed Poreless!

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

Browns, purples and golds! :)

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Gel liner FTW and pencil for the waterline! :D

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Nope!

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

I like them, but too messy for me to use everyday!

-Do you use mineral makeup?

Nope!

-What is your favorite lipstick?

Mac's Nicki and Revlon's Balm Stain in Crush

-How about lipgloss?

Lancome's in electric pink.

-What is your favorite blush to use?

Too Faced Pink Caramel and Lollipop.

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

Nope!

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

Yep!

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

Nope!

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Yes, I would love to! But here in Denmark is kind of hard, since I would have to know Danish! :(

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Sometimes! But for my everyday make up, not really (got the hang of it!) When I first started, I couldn't even make my eyes match! :ps

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Overdone blush! It gives me chills just the thought of it! 

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I love both, but not together! I would rather have a neutral eye with colorful lips or the other way around. 

-Which celebrity always has great make up?

The Kardashians, even though I am not a fan of them, they have amazing flawless make up on in every photo iI've seen!

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?

Concealer!

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

YES! I do that at least once a week! :)

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

YES! I AM AMAZING!

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

For drugstore I would say Rimmel London and for higher end it would be Urban Decay or MAC.

-What do you think of Makeup?

I think it is nice to enhance your features, but you should be a slave of it! :)

Nail Polish Obsession Tag.

Hello!

Today I am going to be doing a tag all about my nail polish obsession! :)

1. What is your favorite nail polish company?

My favorite nail polish brand from outside of Brazil would probably Topshop! I recently bought one of their nail polishes and it is surprisingly good. It is very easy to apply and lasts a lot longer.

Now, when it comes to Brazilian nail polish I would definitely have to choose two brands. The first being Impala, a well known brand and the other one Hits, a newer brand that has different collections with soap operas and famous women.

2. Glitter or no glitter?


Since I am lazy, I don’t use glitter that often. But my favorite nail design that I do and gets lots of compliments is the Ombre Glitter, so I would definitely say yes to glitter. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use and makes your nail look more glamorous.

3.OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?


I haven’t tried any of the Essie polishes and the only China Glaze that I actually have is a beautiful glitter nail polish and my OPI polishes were very disappointing. So I would have to go with China Glaze, their glitter is absolutely amazing and it is not too watery, it is perfect and looks beautiful.

4.When do you change your nail polish?


When I am not too busy or too lazy, I will change it right when it starts chipping, so in 3 to 4 days.

 5.What’s your favorite color on your nails?


When I first started painting my nails was when I had just stopped biting them, so they were very short and tiny. At that point I would only paint my nails of lighter colors, the most daring ones were blues.

6.As my nails got longer, I started to use other colors, brighter ones.

Now, my favorite color on my nails would either be YELLOW by Ciaté (I love yellow, but this one is the ONLY one that actually looks good on me) and Topshop’s Eclipse, which is the most beautiful oil-ish nail polish ever. Depending on the light, it looks either blue, green or gold-ish and it is very metallic. Definitely a favorite, since I painted my nails with it more than once.

 7.Darks or brights?

The brighter the better.

I have always been insecure on how my nails were tiny and even when they are really long, they are small. So, in my head darks would make them look even smaller. 
And also there is the fact that I love bright colors, they always make me happier

 8.What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?


I was feeling very colorful and had too much time...

Impala in Polaina Fun and Disco Ball; Sinful Colors in Soul Mate.

 9.Matte nails, in or out?


I would say kind of in. There was a point were I was obsessed with Matte nails, but now I feel like I just don’t really care about it anymore. But I really like the matte black with the shiny tips.

10. French manicure?


I don’t really like, unless it is a different one or it is for some kind of fancy commemoration. I have never been a fan of them ever since I heard in school the true story about them (rumor has it that French women used paint their nails like that so that no one could see how dirty their nails were

11.Favorite color for each season?


Spring: pastel colors

Summer: Neons

Autumn & Winter: darker colors
